The Qashqai are celebrated for their weaving and textile art, creating kilims, rugs, and bags with geometric patterns, animals, and meaningful symbols.
In Qashqai jewellery, traditional materials such as mahlou seeds (“مهلو”) are used: women hand-drill these aromatic seeds from the Mahlou plant and string them into delicate necklaces that carry a subtly sweet scent.
These necklaces are not just adornments — they are portable stories of migration, resilience, and creative lineage: each bead, each pattern, echoes the rhythm of the Qashqai’s seasonal journeys.
